Cherie De Sues, Noble Author
It's my turn to blog and get to know the readers at Noble Romance today. I'm Cherie and an author for Noble. I write thrillers, contemporary and paranormal suspense novels. I live in San Diego, California with my Irish terrier, Reilly.
No one would have guessed that in one year I would have 8 books published. After spending most of my life in an operating room, the change to full-time author surprised many people. I really enjoy making up stories, getting reviewed and listening to what readers enjoy about my books. How many of us ever get to follow our dreams or use the artistic side of our brains? Sometimes, snagging a single moment's opportunity is the only way to realize your true potential.
My first book is still sitting in my computer, it's awful. I reread the manuscript a few weeks ago to see what I'd need to do to ready the very long novel for publication. A lot. I've evolved in a year and change. Noble Romance editors have honed me into a fairly decent writer. I see my errors more quickly and don't make them in the first place. The book is a paranormal fantasy and the plot is good, it's the weak language. I'll need to spend the amount of time fixing the manuscript as to write a new novel. Still, each book has a personality and I will give my first book a face lift. That's what writing is for me. My manuscripts take on a life of their own, and I can't abandon any of the work I've done.
My works in progress are getting closer to completion. Many readers are waiting for the second book in the Tales of the Red Moon Clan series. The next book in the series is with Tse, a cousin to the Navajo shapeshifter everyone met in the first Tales. Without a doubt, this will be an action-packed, heartfelt romance between two characters that were in the first book. I'm enjoying the writing of this novel, it flows so freely as if the characters know their story already. Love that.
Another work in progress is West Salem: Witchhunters. This paranormal story is full of fae, witches, druids, wizards and more. A sophisticated look at a village of pagans who are working against an ancient force in Northern California. The pagan's abilities are increasing on the native Pomo land, but there is always a catch for the power you receive. The characters that live in the village will learn that their new positive energy must be balanced with negative forces. Nature is filled with examples of that premise.
I am fortunate to write for Noble and would enjoy a visit at my website. I'll blog again soon, I have to walk Reilly now.

Wow, Cherie! Very cool to learn so many things about you! I'd have never guessed you were so new to publishing. You really rocked it, didn't you? ;c) May your early successes be followed by many, many more!
